For your information, the name of Tanjung Piai is based on a local fern, Paku Piai. This fern lives in brackish water. Of course, you can also find many other plants especially the famous mangroves in this national park. This national park is just located a short distance away before entering the main Kukup town.
Meanwhile, the other national park is Kukup National Park. You can travel to Kukup National Park just by riding an RM5 boat trip from the jetty. You can also have a half day trip to neighbouring Indonesian areas from this very jetty. The nature trail allows you to wander around one of the largest uninhabited mangrove forests in the world.
