With their fantastic scenery and artistic cultural sites, Bali is becoming one of the most popular choices of spending holidays with family and friends. Other than the charming landscapes and all those Instagram-friendly spots, Bali also has a wide variety of options for adventurous activities.
With public holidays coming up in August and September, mark your calendars and prepare for an adventurous Bali trip!
Especially if you’re an outdoor person, make sure to fill these activities in your travelling calendar for a delightful experience:
1. Treetop Adventure Park
Bali Treetop Adventure Park introduces the exciting and exhilarating high rope course among the woods. By attaching yourself to the life-line support, experience the thrilling fun of moving high up in the air.
The place consists of several circuits with various difficulty levels, coded by different colours. It ranges from the yellow circuit as the easiest for children around 4 years old, to the black circuit as the hardest for adrenaline stimulation.
I’ve tried every single level and to be honest, the black circuit is the most challenging and enjoyable. It has the Tarzan swing that requires a leap of faith, jumping down from the platform and swinging to the net on the other side.
But with different levels of circuits, anyone can play!

2. Whitewater Rafting
A Bali trip would be incomplete without a simple touch of the waters. Whitewater rafting can be said as a well-known activity in Bali, also containing different levels of difficulty.
Ayung river has a higher degree of rough waters, plus you’ll need to hike for a long distance before reaching the starting point; hence, it is less suitable for children and elderly to select this location.
However, there are other rivers with shorter walking distance available, so check out their website for the packages.
Before starting your water adventure, there will be a professional briefing for your own safety throughout the rafting activity. They even have their own short words and terms for emergency use; for example, Boom-boom means to bend down and hold on tight for your lives!
