With Korean food restaurants everywhere in Malaysia, we’re just so spoiled with choices when there are sudden cravings for Bibimbap, Kimchi Fried Rice, Sundobu Jigae and many many more.
As they are usually quite expensive, we have to make sure that the taste is worth the money. Because who wants to waste money on bad food?
So here are SINI KAKI suggestions for some underrated Korean Restaurants that are satisfyingly tasty and comparatively more affordable:
1. SOPOONG 소풍
Established since 2011, Sopoong means picnic and started by an enthusiastic Korean who came all the way to Malaysia for this business.
Not only that their food is nice, the owner is very responsive to feedback and reviews about their restaurants.
They even got visited and interviewed by Korean actor from the Korean Broadcasting System(KBS) before!
Also, they provide good quality dishes. As shown above, they include lots of seafood in their soybean paste stew!
Besides that, the bright and cheerful surrounding decorations make the place comfortable to dine in with a ‘homey’ atmosphere.
They have 5 branches located in the Klang Valley, including IOI City Mall Putrajaya, Berjaya Times Square, The Starling Mall, MyTOWN Shopping Centre and Melawati Mall.

2. OISO Korean Traditional Cuisine & Cafe
Is the fire heating your passion for Korean food?
If your answer is yes, you must try their Korean BBQ chicken that comes with rice. With the fire burning with bright flames, the taste of the chicken is fully enhanced with a luscious sauce and white sesame.
Furthermore, their jap chae (stir-fried glass noodles) is also one of the recommended dishes.

3. KO HYANG Korean Country Delights
SINI KAKI personal favourite from Ko Hyang is their Kimchi Jjigae (Soft tofu stew with kimchi)that is served with brown rice. The sweet and sour taste of the soup suits perfectly with the steamed rice and side dishes such as kimchi, anchovies and taugeh.
Not to forget Pa Jeon and Kimchi Jeon, the well-known Korean pancakes!
Their bibimbap looks nice too~
